It was supposed to be famed restaurateur Stephanie Lewis’s greatest success yet. She was set to launch Peony, her newest and most cutting-edge restaurant. Stephanie went back to her roots—the restaurant is being opened in her hometown, and the name Peony was chosen after her childhood nickname (she says that her younger sibling Alex couldn’t pronounce her name properly and called her Peony). Everyone in town was ready to welcome her back—well, not everyone. The night before the restaurant was set to open, Stephanie was murdered. Police have gathered nine suspects, from business rivals to employees to relatives, with the hopes of figuring out what happened. Who killed Stephanie…and why?
